Classes for Adults/Teens
Exodus: Lessons Learned in the Departure. This engaging, interactive, Bible study will, using family-centered participation, examine God’s work in the lives of His people, with a mind to practical application in our own lives. Whether you are in your teens or your 80s, you will learn valuable lessons in how to face the challenges of life and triumph by God’s help. Newcomers are welcome. Taught by Fritz Thornton in Room 113.
Walking by the Spirit: The Helper We Barely Know. Before Jesus ascended to heaven, he promised Christians that he would send the Holy Spirit to be our Helper dwelling within our hearts. However, many Christians are unaware or confused about what the Spirit is to do in our lives. The Bible promises that if we “live by the Spirit” we will not carry out the desires of our sinful nature. That’s encouraging, but what does it mean to “live by the Spirit?” This Bible-based class will discuss the Holy Spirit’s nature and work in our lives and its practical implications. Taught by Chris Bennett in Room 100.
Prayer Warriors. This “class” is a time for Crossroads people to gather and pray together. A handout is provided each week to guide us in praising God and praying for Crossroads, personal needs, and the needs of Christians throughout the world. You can come and pray aloud with us, or just sit and pray along silently as others pray. Please come join ordinary folks in approaching our extraordinarily gracious God who promises that he delights when his people pray. Led by Chris Luther in Room 121.
Exploring Crossroads. This class is for those who would like to learn more about our church, our beliefs, and the basis for our beliefs. Through searching the Bible and interactive discussion, the participants gain a deeper understanding of the Christian life and how we seek to live it at Crossroads. This class is required for youth and adults who wish to join our church. Taught by Don Sampson in Room 102.
Friendship Class (Special Needs). Friendship Class (Special Needs). Helping Each Other – Offers concrete ideas on how to help others – how to serve people who are close to us, people who are sad, people others don’t like, and people who are in trouble. Taught by a group teacher and one adult/teen mentor for each student in Room 104.
