Study: “12 Steps for the Recovering Pharisee” by John Fischer

We have met the Pharisees, and they are…us! That’s because we are all guilty of self-righteousness and judgmentalism. It’s part of our nature. We love to set the standard to which others must adhere. In this book, Fischer helps us to recognize the Pharisee in ourselves, so that we can set that aside, and embrace the joy of the Spirit-filled life. Join us as we explore this challenging topic. We will pray for one another, and discuss many issues raised by the author. Send an email to Mark J. (ram1993@pol.net) if you wish to order a copy of the book ($10.95).

Study: Ongoing study of The Book of Acts

We will study Acts for understanding and enthusiastic application of how God builds His church through His people with His Spirit who come together in one accord, first in Jerusalem and then beyond. The over-arching thrust for this study is for us to grasp and personally apply Acts 2:42 and have fun doing it. It is an inductive Bible study and we will go verse by verse. We’ll be standing around the fire, warming our hands, fellowshipping, devoting ourselves to the apostles teaching, breaking bread with one another and praying.
