Christian Education – Spring 2019

Sundays from 11:15 – 12:15

April 7 through June 23

 

Nursery: Children in the nursery will learn who Jesus is, that he is alive, and how to trust God. Taught by Heidi Wethered and friends.

Younger Elementary (Grades K–3): Being God’s servant. Using stories from the Old and New Testament, children will study the lives of Bible men and women who served God faithfully. Taught by Daniel Root and Marcus Huggins.

Older Elementary (Grades 4–8): 1 Corinthians to Philemon: preteens and young teens will study the growth of the early church and the doctrines of our faith. Taught by Missy Detwiler.

Youth Group (Grades 9-12): An overview of the Book of Revelation. Taught by Josh Kiihne.

Friendship Class (Special Needs Education)

Choose Courage: Following God is not for the faint of heart! In this study, we will discover what it meant for Joshua and Caleb to follow God’s command to “be strong and courageous.” We will also explore what it might mean for us to choose courage as we choose to follow God’s lead. Taught by Peggy Van Lowe and one adult/teen mentor for each student.

 Adult Education

God’s Design for Sexuality in a Changing Culture (ends 5/12): Helping churches think and talk through the orthodox, historical, and scriptural views on sex, sexuality, and gender in light of the impact of our secular culture’s viewpoints. Taught by the Elders
