Rev. Don Sampson, Senior Pastor

Pastor Don Sampson first came to Northern Virginia in 1982 to begin his career as a Marine Corps officer at Quantico Marine Base. After 14 years of service as a helicopter pilot, the Lord called Don to full-time ministry. He resigned from active duty in 1996 and moved to St. Louis to attend Covenant Theological Seminary, where he earned his Master of Divinity degree.

Don was ordained in 2001 while serving on staff at Harvester Presbyterian in Springfield, Va. Crossroads Presbyterian is a daughter church of Harvester. The church plant launch team of 20 households met under the leadership of Pastor Sampson for six months before having an official start at Potomac High School. In May of 2002, Don began serving as the founding pastor of Crossroads Presbyterian.

Don retired as a staff officer in the Marine Corps Reserve in 2007. He and his wife of 29 years have two daughters.
