Christian Education – Winter 2023
Sundays from 11:15 – 12:30
January 15 through March 26
Nursery (Through age 2): Children in the nursery will learn who Jesus is, that he is alive, and how to trust God.
Preschool (Age 3–Kindergarten): Jesus is God’s Son. Preschoolers will learn that God’s promise to send a Savior, made so long ago to Adam and Eve, was fulfilled in Jesus, the Son of God.
Younger Elementary (Grades 1–3): Growing in God. Kids will learn about becoming disciples of Christ by learning about our Heavenly Father, trusting God for power to live for Him, and listening to God’s Word.
Older Elementary (Grades 4-6): God’s Design for Worship. Students will be introduced to God’s Design for Worship, a hands-on, topical study of tabernacle worship in Exodus and Leviticus and how it was fulfilled in the coming of the promised Savior.
Youth Group (Grades 7-12): Identity & Purpose. Who am I and why am I here? What is the true source of the brokenness around us? Is marriage still relevant? Genesis 1–3 is a compelling narrative with familiar names but it also deals with hard, profound questions about life—questions that need God’s answers.
Friendship Class (Special Needs Education)
In cooperation with mentors, the Friendship class works through various curricula to ensure that each person in our congregation is pointed to Jesus and His work on our behalf.
Adult Education
The Westminster Confession of Faith: The Westminster Confession is not some dry, dusty, doctrinal document. Rather, it condenses and summarizes the riches of the Scriptures in a way that is applicable to church and everyday life. This course uses video sessions and small group discussion to better understand our confessional standards.
